Forever Searching (FS) is a non-profit organisation, whose mission is to support the families of the missing, by increasing public awareness to not only individual cases but to what can only be described as the phenomenon of missing people in general.
What We Do:
Forever Searching offers support to the families of a missing person, in an effort to bring them hope and a certain degree of peace, at a very trying time in their lives.
Working with the family, we assist in the creating of appeal mails for the missing person, which can be used for e-mailing campaigns.
We net-work with other like-minded groups and organisations on a global basis, this is done to maximize exposure of the missing person.
We lobby Government agencies on issues that relate to the missing. We ensure that the voices of the missing are not silenced; we speak for them, lobbying for resources to assist the families of the missing.
We run our own channel on You-Tube, where we upload video’s that we make of the missing person. These videos are made hand in hand with the family of the missing person, to ensure that they are personal to the family, and that they tell the story in a manner appropriate to the family (YouTube).
We will create flyers for the missing person, and will assist the family with media contact and assist with press releases. The flyer is then circulated to key targets, as well as being distributed through social net-working sites, such as Face-book and My-space.
We will display a photograph of the missing person on our web-site. Linked to the photograph will be an information sheet, where you will find links to the missing person’s downloadable poster, to their dedicated web-site, their Face-book, Bebo & My Space pages, to their You Tube video and to any other resources the family may have.
We do not investigate individual cases and we do not have the resources available to us to arrange search parties.
We arrange awareness functions, such as International Missing Children’s Day services, and healing retreats where our families can relaxed and find comfort and support surrounded by others in a similar position to themselves.
We are a non-profit organisation; we do not charge a fee to any family for any of the services that we offer.
We host fund-raising events, to raise funds, to support us in our awareness campaigns. We rely solely on the generosity of the public to support the work of Forever Searching. All funds raised go into awareness campaigns and assist us in supporting the families.
We run an online shop from our web-site, as well as an E-Bay Charity shop.
The volunteers who run this organisation strive hard to develop this organisation into a strong and purposeful entity that is committed to the families of the missing and to the missing themselves.
Any family, with a missing loved one, can expect the highest of integrity, understanding and carefully chosen words, to help them through the nightmare of having a loved one gone missing.
